Greece's selection, which stopped only in the final, secured a medal in the men's event for the first time and thus became the surprise team of the event, while record winners Hungary returned to the podium for the first time since winning the title in 2008. For the third time in a row, the German men failed to qualify for the biggest event in world sport.
