The teams of Cherno More, Chernomorets, CPS Varna and Neptune formed the Top 4 after the matches in the Final A of the State Water Polo Championship for Men U17 in Varna. The top four teams reached the medal standings after contested matches in the covered 25-meter pool of the Alexi Alexiev Swimming Complex in our seaside capital.
The eight strongest teams, who took the first two places in the four qualifying groups a month ago, qualified for the Final A in Varna. There, they were divided into two new foursomes, where they played each other in a one-versus-one system from Friday to Sunday (1-3 April 2022).

Friday: CSKA - Arena Burgas 17-10, Botev 2000 - Chernomorets 7-15, Komodor - Neptune 11-14, KPS Varna - Black Sea 8-16
Saturday before noon: Botev 2000 - Arena Burgas 16-13, CSKA - Chernomorets 8-15, Commodore - CPS Varna 6-12, Black Sea - Neptune 13-3
Saturday after lunch: Arena Burgas - Chernomorets 6-16, CSKA - Botev 2000 4-6, KPS Varna - Neptune 15-7, Komodor - Black Sea 7-8.

Thus the teams of the winners in the groups - Cherno More and Chernomorets, secured their places in the Superfinal.
Then the second and third place teams in the groups met on Sunday before lunch. Results. And in the Top 4 to Cherno More and Chernomorets joined also KPS Varna and Neptune. Thus two teams from Varna and Burgas entered the Superfinal. Interestingly, three teams from Group E earned spots in the Superfinal, where only one team from Group E - the winner Chernomorets - also made it.
Final matchesfor 1-2 place - Cherno More - Chernomorets 13-8, for 3-4 place - KPS Varna - Naptune 13-4, for 5-6 place - CSKA - Botev 2000 14-10, for 7-8 place - Komodor - Arena Burgas 14-9.

The Super Final, in which the medals will be distributed in the age group, is on 9-10 July 2022 in Varna. The fifth through eighth place standings are final in the U17 State Championships, and positions one through four will be determined in the Super Final. At the same time in Sofia is the Final B featuring six teams, which will form the ninth to 14th place standings in the championship.
