BFVT has released the updated sports and competition calendar for Season 2022. The changes were necessary due to two reasons - the postponement of two competitions due to the complicated situation in the country due to the pandemic and the shift in time of the European qualifiers for men U19, in which the Bulgarian national team will participate.
After the hiatus imposed due to the postponed tournaments, the state water polo championships resume on February 11-13, 2022 with the U19 men's finals to be played at the Diana Pool in the capital.
In the men's U19 final, 8 teams will play - the runners-up from second to fifth place in the qualification in both groups. The winners of the groups - KPS Varna and Chernomorets, have already qualified for the Super Final. The squads now enter the final with their qualification assets, and each team will play only against opponents it did not meet in the first phase.
