The national girls water polo team finished 16th in the U17 European Championships. In their last match the squad, led by Vasil Nanov and Andrey Sushkov, lost to Malta 9-10 (0-3, 3-2, 2-2, 3-2). Ivet Dimitrova scored 6 goals for the Bulgarian team, Ralitsa Avladinova added two and Gulshen Ismail one.
In the match, the zones were 13-5 for Team Malta, with the opponents outnumbered 8 times in the first two periods alone, and our team once. Penalty kicks (penalties) were also in Malta's favour - 2-1.
