Varna water polo club "Cherno More 1948" won the championship cup of the state championship in water polo for the 2019-2020 season in the 13-year-old boys (men U13). The competitions were held over the weekend in Burgas, the club told Moreto.net.
The boys of coaches Velizar Kovachev and Grigor Hristov grabbed the title after convincingly winning all the matches in the competition against teams from Sofia, Burgas, Vratsa and Komodor-Varna - the previous winners of the prize.
The team of "Cherno More 1948" also entered the individual prizes. Timofey Semikov won the award for the best goalkeeper of the competition, and Andrey Konavalov was awarded as the most valuable player of the championship.
State water polo competitions for 13-year-old boys have been held since 2008. This is the 2nd title for Black Sea 1948 in this age group.
